Helen Whiteman joined the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) in September 2019 from legal regulator, CILEx Regulation role where she was CEO since 2015. She joined the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2008 as Head of Corporate Affairs having served as Director of Member Services at a law firm membership body called LawNet. Helen led the Group’s Single Diversity and Accessibility Action Plan and became a volunteer trustee for the legal mental health and wellbeing charity, LawCare, in January 2019. Helen is working with the CIOT Council to develop a new strategy around delivering education, promoting standards and representing an engaged and growing membership.

Stefan Tromel co-ordinates the ILO Global Business and Disability Network. He has more than 30 years of experience working on disability rights and was actively involved in the negotiation process of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (2002-2006).

Mary Ann Sieghart began her career as a Eurobond correspondent and Lex Columnist at the Financial Times, before moving to become Business Editor of Today newspaper. In 1988, she joined The Times, where she worked as Comment Editor, Arts Editor, Chief Political leader-writer and columnist. In 2007, she left the paper to pursue portfolio work. She remains a regular contributor to print media.

In 2008, she was a founding partner of The Browser website, a current affairs content aggregation website. In the same year she joined Newshour, the BBC World Service’s flagship news and current affairs programme, as a presenter. From 2010 to 2012, she wrote a weekly column in The Independent about politics, economics and social affairs.

Stephanie Soong Johnston has a decade of experience covering international tax issues for Tax Notes. Her current beats include the OECD, the G-20, and tax issues related to an increasingly digital and globalised economy. She also holds a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.

Yvonne is an Executive Director within IHS Markit’s Platforms & Regulatory Compliance division. She combines her roles as the EMEA Commercial Lead for Tax Products with roles which contribute to an inclusive and equitable culture within the firm. Prior to joining IHS Markit, Yvonne was with Burt, Staples & Maner, LLP and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Currently, Ms. Kunihira-Davidson is a member of the OECD’s AEOI Business Advisory Group and the U.S. Digital Chamber of Commerce’s Tax Taskforce. She is a regular speaker at various industry events on QI, FATCA, and CRS in both Europe and the U.S. Yvonne is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).

Yvonne is involved in diversity and inclusion initiatives both inside and outside of IHS Markit. She co-chairs the CEO Advisory Board on Diversity and Inclusion and the Wellbeing employee resource group (ERG), is a cofounder of two further ERGs - EMpower London (for black and minority ethnic colleagues) and Enable (for differently abled colleagues). She serves of the steering committees of three ERGs and the Collaborative Mentoring working group. In addition, she mentors young women through the IHS Markit Women In Tech and Growth Talent programs and is involved in various charitable activities. Externally, Yvonne serves as a Steering Committee member of The Network of Networks (TNOON) and supports the efforts of non-profit organizations such as SEO London, #10000BlackInterns and Migrant Leaders to nurture and recruit diverse talent.

Tynan Allan is wildly curious about company culture. This curiosity sparked in 2014 when he was working as an executive wellness coach and quickly figured out how the corporate world struggled to build thriving, safe, and productive workplace environments. Since then Tynan has spent his time diving deep into this topic. He has consulted companies on their culture-improvement journeys with his own firm, Illuminate, and also at Deloitte. In 2019, Tynan launched The CultureING Podcast which showcases interviews with company culture leaders, executives & HR professionals from around the world. In its first year, the podcast ranked in the Global Top 40 thanks to conversations with leaders from Disney, Thinkific, Bench Accounting, Article, Black Lives Matter, and ZayZoon. Currently, Tynan helps lead  Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts, while also serving in a Client Success Role.
